I am guilty of deal fatigue! There are lots and lots of local daily deal sites out there and I receive every one of their emails (ugh). With great excitement, I used to rush to my email every morning to see the daily deal but now I delete those same emails without actually seeing what the deal is. I know tomorrow without fail there will be another coupon for a massage, dinner, haircut, and dentist apt. I no longer feel a coupon is going to inspire me to try something new. Matter of fact, I only get the deal if it is for one of my already beloved-local businesses that I already frequent. 

With all the noise out there, I feel there is something different about Scoutmob, I can&#039;t put my finger on it, but she is something special. Unlike Groupon where you pay for the coupon, Scoutmob is free. (That’s right – free!) If you get the daily Scoutmob email, you will have one day to claim the deal – pretty standard stuff. However, if you have the Scoutmob app, the deal is automatically claimed and you can redeem it at will as long as the deal has not expired.  

There is more to Scoutmob than just fancy logistics and a (really lovely) mobile app. She has a pulse on what is going on in the city of Atlanta. Her emails are full of local tidbits you would only know about if you lived and loved the city of Atlanta. According to Scoutmob, every morning, the local content stork flies over Scoutmob HQ, dropping off a new bundle of local love for them to share with us. I believe this to be true! 

As the daily deals business model becomes unsustainable, I believe Scoutmob and her edgy self will continue to thrive in her local market and community. Scoutmob deals are always for places where I actually want to go. Of the twenty or so coupons I’ve used from Scoutmob, they haven’t steered me wrong yet!
