The Illinois Telegraph Interviews AIS Media regarding the Growth of Digital Communications

AIS Media CEO, Thomas Harpointner, was interviewed by The Illinois Telegraph to discuss reasons why businesses of all sizes are turning to email for their marketing needs rather than postal mail. His statements included:
With an already shaky economy, a price increase will make it more difficult for small businesses to survive. Businesses will likely pass the cost onto the customer, resulting in higher prices for products or services. Another option is for businesses to scale back or even eliminate postal mailings altogether, which could result in less business.
Harpointner suggests businesses embrace technology and opt for e-mail campaigns. E-mails cost less to send, are easy to track and can quickly reach a significant number of people.
There are several advantages to e-mail advertising, he said. When people receive an e-mail, they are able to open it and interact with its contents.
