His statements included: It's too early to tell whether significant numbers of retailers nationwide are heading to the Web, and downplaying stores, said Thomas Harpointner, CEO of Atlanta-based AIS Media. But $4-a-gallon gas is doing two things: People now take fewer leisurely drives, and mall traffic is down, he said.
