July 03, 2008 AIS Media CEO, Thomas Harpointner, was interviewed by Capital Gazette to discuss the effectiveness of email marketing, and other online marketing initiatives especially during tough economic times. His statements included: Thomas Harpointner, co-founder of AIS Media, an Atlanta-based interactive marketing company with consultants across the country and Maryland, said e-mail marketing can be a much less costly and more efficient way to track customers than postal mail campaigns. "Americans have been opening mail over the trash for quite some time," he said. And in an economy like this where marketing budgets are being cut, it's much easier to justify strategies like e-mail campaigns that can provide "tangible and measurable results," he said.
