eMarketer Highlights AIS Media Inc. Regarding Survey Results on the Restaurant Industry's Internet Marketing Usage. June 7, 2007 eMarketer, a Internet marketing research firm, wrote an article highlighting AIS Media Inc.’s recent survey conducted with focus on the restaurant industry’s Internet marketing usage. For the poll 5937 restaurants nationwide were contacted and were broken down by the following categories: fast food; family; sports; food/bar; upscale; and other. Results were released May 30, 2007. Excerpts from the article include: Nearly nine in 10 US restaurants now have Web sites, and a majority of restaurants see their sites as primary marketing tools, according to an AIS Media study conducted March 19-23, 2007. E-mail also rated highly for restaurant marketing, with 68% of respondents saying they used it as a main way to reach new customers. Nearly three in 10 restaurants said they conducted monthly targeted campaigns. About seven in 10 restaurants collected their e-mail addresses through Web site opt-ins. Onsite sign-ups accounted for 61% of the e-mail addresses restaurants gathered, and 18% came from business card promotions.
