Sarasota Herald Tribune Highlights AIS Media Inc. Regarding Survey Results on the Restaurant Industry's July 30, 2007 The Sarasota Herald Tribune wrote an article highlighting AIS Media’s recent survey conducted with focus on the restaurant industry’s Internet marketing usage. For the poll 5937 restaurants nationwide were contacted and were broken down by the following categories: fast food; family; sports; food/bar; upscale; and other. Excerpts from the article include: Nearly 90 percent of the restaurants in the nation use a Web site to attract business, according to a new study by AIS Media Inc., an e-business solutions company. Nearly 6,000 restaurants were polled about their use of the Internet in attracting customers, and it was found that e-mail marketing is now tied with magazine and newspaper advertising by restaurants seeking customers. “In today’s information age, the savvy consumer researches everything online, including where they will dine out,” said Thomas Harpointner, chief executive officer of AIS. “Restaurants are cognizant of this fact and are developing interactive Web sites that allow consumers to see their menu offering, the amenities of the restaurant, specials offered by the restaurant, and in some cases online ordering that can be delivered or picked up.” To read the full story visit: Restaurants Turning to the Web About AIS Media © 2007 AIS Media, Inc.
